Montview, the landmark home of The Cherry Family, was built circa 1890 in the Queen Anne style, and sits at the highest point of Victoria West.
In the mid 1970s Montview was fully restored under the direction of Don Wells, a local electrical designer with a passion for heritage. In 1976, Don Wells received an award of merit, given by the Victoria Hallmark Society, for the fine restoration of Montview. The property changed hands in May 2001 and the loving care continues.
The Wells Suite, a stunning one bedroom, is named after Don Wells, in honour and memory of his actualized vision of preserving history.
The Cherry Suite, a cozy studio apartment, is named in honour and memory of the family who built this fine home.
The Georgia Suite is named for our friend Georgia, who resided here for seven years.
